Abilities Resource Fair
The Maui County Office on Aging invites the community to attend the Abilities Resource Fair on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Shopping Center in Kahului. This event will bring together over 25 local businesses and organizations, offering valuable information on services ranging from health and home care to workforce development, legal issues, assistive devices and technology, caregiving, respite services, and more.
“This event provides a unique opportunity for individuals with disabilities and their families to connect with local resources and services available in Maui County and throughout the state,” said County Executive Rowena Dagdag-Andaya. “It’s also a chance for the community to come together, share experiences, and discuss the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and the opportunities we have in creating a more inclusive community.
The day will be filled with entertainment, featuring musical performances by Hale Villarimo, Jus Us Keoni Darcy and Mika Villarin, a presentation by Ka Lima O Maui, a comedy routine by the Maui Deaf Friends, and chair exercise activities led by Paula Keele and the EnhanceFitness team. Ed Kanoi will serve as the event's emcee, and hourly door prizes will be given away.
